Louisa Wei

Dr. S. Louisa Wei is a documentary filmmaker, award-winning writer, and senior associate professor at the City University of Hong Kong. Her research and creative works converge in the (re)writing of (trans)national Chinese cinema history by restoring overlooked female directors and of modern Chinese history by restoring leftist writer-intellectuals eliminated from the official record.
