Shekira Preston

I am a Project Coordinator in the Research & Knowledge Exchange Directorate at SOAS University of London, and a certified AgilePM® Practitioner and Professional Scrum Master™. I have enjoyed working in the HE sector since 2015. As an experienced Post Award and HR professional, I have always had a passion for people and numbers, having sole responsibility for the financial flow of million-pound budgets. For more than 4 years, I coordinated the Bloomsbury Postgraduate Skills Network (BPSN) – a network of leading Higher Education institutions. As the Seed Corn Fund Coordinator at SOAS, I managed several research projects, providing ongoing support for School-wide initiatives in furtherance of the Research Excellence agenda. I am also a qualified TEFL/TESOL teacher. My key areas of focus are data quality and compliance and learning and development.
