Out of the Box (2023) explores the creative work, community, and leadership style of award-winning Kenyan filmmaker and Founder of Docubox, Judy Kibinge. Weaving in and out of Kibinge's diverse films - from her popular rom-coms to her courageous documentaries to the films by others that she has supported through Docubox - Out of the Box shows how Kibinge has contributed to bringing heterogenous screen worlds into being, challenging stereotypes of Africa and conjuring fresh, home-grown visions of Kenya and East Africa.
