Estrella Sendra Introduction: Sarah Maldoror’s SAMBIZANGA at SOAS

We collaborated with Tate Modern, arranging a series of events to bring to audiences a special focus on the pioneering director Sarah Maldoror. A film screening of Sambizanga (1972) was hosted at SOAS’s Brunei Gallery Lecture Theatre. The event was curated by our advisory board member Dr Estrella Sendra, who also provided an introduction to Safi Faye’s Fad’Jal (1979) at the Barbican.
